We tried again for Angel Island after the Sausalito-row-against-the-ebb
trip two weeks prior. This time the weather was more favorable. Lunch
was enjoyed enroute, and to enhance the adventure and save on the $5
dock fee and paperwork, we tried beaching the Searaven on the little
shore at the cove. This turned out to not be a great idea, as there
were still some waves in the cove, and I was not willing to pull her up
far enough on the beach (as the tide was falling, and I was the only
adult and the only one willing to get wet), and didn't want to get
stuck. So, we decided to bail. A friendly guy swimming in the icy water
of the Cove helped steady the stern as I waded in and carried each of
the girls to the boat so that they not get wet.
We have many, many pictures (and videos) of the girls shoes.
Livaboard luxury.
Another Richardson Bay fixer-upper.
More girl-shoes.
Sausalito-Tiburon Ferry
A gorgeous Hinckley.
Approaching Angel Island.
An Aeleron 28 is leaving as we come in to the cove.
Are we there yet?
After the excitement of the beach landing, we pulled across Raccoon
Straight to have a 2nd lunch at Sam's in Tiburon. This is a great
place that has its own dock.
