It was our intention to go to Angel Island for a picnic, but the lack
of wind slowed our progress. That, and the very strong ebb tide (which
was running at about
5 kts through the Golden Gate), which was pulling it very much in the
wrong direction. A few teasing breezes tempted us to try sailing, but
it was no-go. Still, a warm and lovely day out on the water! It is
weird here in Northern California, on the water winter months can be
much warmer than summer.
This powerboater thought he was in Tiburon. Really, we along the
shore of Sausalito.
